NCTET Ball: Celebrating Education in the Digital Age

The NCTET Ball is a cocktail style affair where 400 of the nation’s technology and education leaders gather to honor individuals that have made significant contributions to the education technology field.

Prior Community Builder honorees include: the late Senator Edward M. Kennedy (D-MA), FCC Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel, George Lucas (Lucasfilms and Edutopia), Senator Olympia Snowe (R-ME), Linda Darling Hammond (Stanford University), US Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor (iCivics), and John Gage (Director of the Science Office, Sun Microsystems). 

Our 2020 Community Builder Awardees were honored at our Post-Inaugural Reception on January 21, 2021 and they include:

Government: Gov. Jared Polis (D-CO) and Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO)
Nonprofit: Sylvia Acevedo, former Chief Executive Officer, Girl Scouts USA and Sal Khan, Founder, Khan Academy
Corporate: Google and Kajeet
Educators: Chris Dede, Harvard Graduate School of Education and Hero Educators of COVID
Equity Advocate Award Recipient: Hon. John King, President and CEO, Education Trust


The Ball will be hosted the evening of May 12, 2022 at the International Spy Museum just steps away from Capitol Hill.
